I saw David Wood present at the Ulimate Business Seminar in Sydney towards the end of 2008 and since then I’ve read more of his work and have started using his resources. Hi all, I hope that everyone enjoyed celebrating Christmas and the New Year. I had a good time with friends and family which was great and my birthday slotted in there as well 
I don’t know if anyone else is feeling the same way, but I’ve decided that it’s time to step up in 2009 and play a bigger game. I’ve always liked to push myself but I’ve also found it easy to get stuck at times and settle into a comfort zone.
My last 6 months definitely moved me out of my comfort zone and I’m looking forward to this year. I think it will be full of lots of new and amazing opportunities. My 2 areas of focus to kick off the year are coaching and internet marketing.
Why coaching? Well, I’ve always loved goal setting personally and helping others to decide what’s important to them, supporting them on the journey and celebrating with them when they succeed! (Break out the bubbly!)
I’m really passionate about helping people perform at their best and I’m ready to take on a few clients after completing my Masters Results training in NLP last year.
Why internet marketing? Well, I believe the internet provides opportunities for businesses and individuals that surpass any other medium. Despite 17 years corporate experience my internet knowledge was very limited and I decided that it was critical to change this. Technology is moving rapidly and I want to be ‘surf the wave’ rather than be left behind (I have not yet tried real surfing, I’ve decided to start with the virtual kind!).
Whether you want to build a business, generate some extra income, share your thoughts with the world or raise money and awareness for your favourite charity, the internet is a great platform to make this happen. With the coaching I’m working on a few programs and a new website, so I’ll keep you updated on the details. I want to start with an offer designed to help people take action on any New Year’s resolutions they are really serious about! I think coaching is excellent as it increases accountability, however, before taking it up you must decide whether you are really committed to making the changes you are thinking about or talking about. The only person that can change you is you, it does however help to have someone assist with a plan and provide encouragement as well as ask the tough questions along the way – a good coach will hold you to your own highest standard (the new one you have set for yourself when you take on a coaching program).

Today I’m taking some time to be grateful. I mean to make time for this every day, at least for 10 minutes but it doesn’t always happen. I find that when I do it I feel calmer & more content. I like striving for constant improvement and new goals, however, it is when I remember to take the time out to just ‘be’ and to be grateful for what is already great in my life, that my positivity increases and I get more energy to keep going.
I am grateful for my health, for the ability to see, hear, feel, smell, touch, walk, talk, run (although I don’t do this a lot!). I am very grateful for the love of family and friends. I am grateful to be able to explore opportunities that are new to me, for the chance to become an entrepreneur, to learn internet marketing, for personal development, for the freedom to change how I think & act and to do things bigger and better than ever before. I’m grateful that I’m growing and that I’m choosing to keep moving away from my ‘comfort zones’, it’s not always easy but it is always rewarding. I am really excited about 2009 and have amazingly high expectations about what’s possible
If anyone is looking for a little something for themselves or for a loved one about success and happiness I recommend looking at the books by Andrew Matthews. Years ago I was given his book ‘Follow Your Heart’ and I loved it. It is easy to read, very real & very funny – the words are brilliant and the pictures make me laugh. For a light hearted pick me up I refer back to this book quite regularly – it’s one of those books that I’ll keep forever.

The power of our mindset, the importance of focus and positivity is quite profound when we look at the results we are getting in our lives and trace it back to what it is that we spend our time thinking about.
In life you get what you expect not what you want……. you get what you focus on……. what you focus on grows and you attract more of it.
Today I want to share a verse from a card I was given by a friend many years ago as I found it to be very encouraging. I hope that some of you reading this find hope and inspiration in this as well.
EXPECT THE BEST
What’s exciting about life is that every morning offers a brand new day with unlimited possibilities. Yesterday’s mistakes and regrets belong to yesterday. Today is a clean slate, a chance to start over, to do or become anything you want, a chance to go for it! So, jump into life with both feet! Go forward head held high, expecting the best…..you might be surprised at how often that’s exactly what you’ll get.
I don’t know if the card company still exists but it was called Celebrating Excellence Inc.
I’m realising that one of the most important thing to do change your life is to get very clear on what it is that you want to create. It is actually a lot of fun to think about what my life will look like when I’m living the life of my dreams. I would encourage anyone on a similar path to write down exactly what your ideal life looks like…. what are doing, who are you with, what can you see, hear, feel, touch & smell when you are living your ideal life?
It is important to create a picture in your mind & it’s a good idea to create is practically as well with a vision board (using pictures) or in video format. You need to spend some time ideally 20 mins every day thinking about your vision so that it becomes increasingly real for you.
Having a clear vision really does matter because it help us make choices that support our ultimate goals. Also, it is this vision that will keep us going when the day to day gets tough, that’s why the vision needs to match with our core values and be truly inspiring for us…… inspiring enough that we are prepared to take consistent action toward its achievement….. that we are committed to achieving it regardless of how bumpy the road to the goal may be.
If anyone is interested in a tool to help them create a video of their vision, I found a program that does this called Mind Movie. I got access a while ago to some samples they were giving away and I’ve really enjoyed them – I find them really positive and inspirational.

I realised that if I wanted to get radically different results in my life then I would need to take radically different action. I wasn’t sure where to start but I was invited to a seminar called ‘Breakthrough to Success’ which I attended in March 2008 and I really enjoyed the event.
I’d always been interested in personal development attending a few seminars, reading a few books etc but at this event I felt like I was in the right place at the right time. I was ready to hear the information presented in a different way and I decided that the information they were teaching would be able to help me transform the areas of my life that I wanted to work on. I made the decision to invest in myself and committed to join the Fast Track to Success program which includes 6 of their courses.
In October 2008 I just completed the Results and Masters Results training component of the program. They ran for a total of 14 days and as I result of completing them I’m now qualified as an NLP Performance and Results coach. The courses were fantastic!! I love being challenged to think differently and to ‘play a bigger game’ as I believe this opens the door to amazing numbers of new opportunities.

I believe that the concept of success is very personal. I have spent a lot of time thinking about what is important to me, what it is that I want to achieve and why. In my view life success is about balance, it is about achieving our potential and getting consistently good results in all key areas – eg. relationships, career, health & finances.
I no longer equate success to personal worth or happiness. I believe every individual is as valuable as each other, unique, special and with unlimited potential in their own right. I believe the secret to happiness is learning to live in the moment and be content in the present, being grateful for the positive things in our life, valuing ourselves and making the time to celebrate all the little wins.
So when I’m striving for success, wanting to do new things and achieve more than ever before, it is because I want to make the most of my life, it is because I know I’m capable of more & I want to live up to my potential. I want:

Hi everyone,
I love my life and yet I’m committed to changing it. There are parts of my life that are fantastic that I don’t want to change, for me this is my wonderful family and friends. Over the years they have loved me unconditionally and I feel very fortunate to know that whatever my path may hold I have people that I can count on for support when I fall and to celebrate with me when I succeed.
I have decided to start this blog as a record of the journey I am beginning. For years I felt that I wasn’t living up to my potential. I didn’t know what it was that I was meant to be doing I just knew I hadn’t found ‘it’. My life was quite comfortable, steady full time job, some opportunities to do things I really enjoyed, great family and friends…. and yet I felt that there was more. The days, weeks and months would roll into each other, nothing significant would change and I was beginning to feel that I was ‘stuck’.
I always said I believe ‘anything is possible, you can create anything you want in your life’ and yet I wasn’t living this out. This year I decided that I didn’t want to spend my life wondering what I could have done if I’d been brave enough to start doing things differently. After all who want to live life being average?
I decided I wanted to live an extraordinary life & I have started to think bigger than ever before. If I could do anything I wanted to, without restriction what would it be? What would my ideal life look like?
It is this journey of self-discovery, learning, experimentation, practise and success that I am now on. If anyone relates to my story and would like to share in my progress and share their stories with me, then I invite you to be a part of my journey.
